DementiaNet

An online community and information website for people affected by dementia and their relatives.

DementiaNet was launched in Denmark on World Alzheimer's Day, 21 September 2005, and the website is now available in the following countries  - see the complete list at www.dementianet.com.

DementiaNet has a diverse target audience consisting of:

  • people that suffer from dementia
  • family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances
  • general practitioners, neurologists, psychiatrists, nurses, care assistants, social security
  • workers and other health care providers
  • students within the health care system
  • anyone who is interested in knowing more about dementia

In addition to articles on different aspects of dementia, the site offers a variety of services such as:

  • letterbox with independent experts answering questions from the users
  • debate forum
  • chat forum
  • diary functionality
  • news bulletin with weekly updates on news on dementia

A biweekly newsletter is sent to subscribers with information about new content on the site.
