The Lundbeck Institute
A forum for professional education and interaction in neurology and psychiatry.
The Institute was founded in 1997 as a unique educational initiative by H. Lundbeck A/S with the following vision:
"Through educational activities to contribute to improve quality of life for patients suffering from psychiatric and neurological diseases"
The goals of the Lundbeck Institute are:
- Education
To improve awareness, recognition and management of CNS diseases through educational activities and Internet communities
- Quality of Care
To encourage best practice by providing tools for optimal treatment and care
- Partnership
To facilitate networking and strengthen collaboration with care providers, patients and CNS organizations
Activities
The activities of the Lundbeck Institute are not related to product promotion of any kind, neither of drugs from Lundbeck nor any other pharmaceutical company. All activities build upon objective and evidence-based knowledge.
At present, the Institute is involved in the following activities:
Administration
The Institute's educational activities are approved by the Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation (LINF) consisting of around 82 prominent psychiatrists, neurologists and patient organisations from all over the world. They take on a number of tasks and responsibilities such as:
- advising on topics to be addressed
- being involved in production of Institute material
- giving expert lectures at the Institute seminars
LINF is co-operating with the following international health organisations, who all have a seat in the board:
