Brain Explorer

A graphical and educational presentation of the brain and the disorders affecting it, aimed at GP’s and specialists in training.

Brain Explorer is available in four language versions:

www.brainexplorer.org (English)
es.brainexplorer.org (Spanish)
de.brainexplorer.org (German)
fr.brainexplorer.org (French)

Brain Explorer consists of three main parts:

  • One section of the site describes the different parts of the normal brain and their functions.
  • One section describes the process of neurological control.
  • One section describes 14 different brain disorders – in psychiatry and neurology - as well as their cause, symptoms, and treatment.

In addition to this, Brain Explorer contains a glossary of technical terms used in psychiatry and neurology, as well as a list of recommended further reading.

More than 100 illustrations of parts of the brain and the central nervous system accompany the text.
